Meet the Guides

daphneDaphne – Hello there!  My name is Daphne, one of the guides here on the Ghost and Haunt tour here in Gatlinburg.  I’m what they call a “half-back” around here.  I was born and raised in upstate NY, moved to Louisiana for a few years, then came half-way back because I could not stand the heat.  My son and I moved here to this area in January  of 2006 and I have become quite fascinated with the people, the history and the culture in this area.  And I hope to be able to share some of what I have learned with you on one of our tours. I truly hope ya’ll come out and see us while your’re in town.  It is a great way to see another side of Gatlinburg, and please DO NOT forget those cameras.

joshJosh – Hi.  My name is Josh.  I moved to this area 7 years ago, but I have been visiting  the mountains my entire life.  This area has a lot of great historical and supernatural stories and we would be happy to share these with you during your stay in the Smokies.  If you want to have a great experience during your trip and learn about the area then please come and join us for a excellent tour.

paulaPaula – Hello!  My name is Paula and I am one of your tour guides here in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.  I am looking forward to meeting you and sharing some of the great history from this part of the world.  My husband and children moved to this area in 1995 and my youngest daughter just graduated from High School.  I hope to see you soon and share my great ghost stories with you and of course, you will be able to get some awesome pictures!

rickRick – Hello, my name is Rick, and I am already eager to start on our tour.  My mother was born in eastern Tennessee and my dad in eastern Kentucky.  I grew up in Cincinnati, but we rarely missed an opportunity to visit family “down home”.  I moved here permanently as soon as I could, and now I truly feel at home.  Growing up Appalachian, I assumed everyone could tell a story.  No gathering was complete without our entire family sitting around the kitchen table spinning yarns.  Please join me as we explore some of the legends of Gatlinburg and southern Appalachia.  I think we’ll have a great time our our tour and I look forward to meeting you!

suzetteSuzette – Greetings from Gatlinburg!! I am Suzette and my assistant is my daughter Alley. We moved here nearly 10 years ago to escape the problems of the city and live a simpler lifestyle. I home school and incorporate the Smoky Mountains in our curriculum. We enjoy many facets of the National Park; from hiking the trails, fishing for trout, going on Salamander hunts, to learning the incredible history of the Area. I have found the area rich in folklore, superstition, and legend. I look forward to sharing this information with you when you join us on one of our walking tours in the evenings. Join us, and let us take you to places you never knew existed in Gatlinburg. Hope to see you soon.
