Step into the world of the unknown with the Haunted Ghost Tour of Gatlinburg for a hair-raising ninety-minute tour into the spirit realm of Gatlinburg.
Join us as we take a leisurely stroll and search along the shadowy streets and alleys of Gatlinburg, to hear stories of the unexplained and strange. Hear about a number of haunted hotels and buildings in the downtown area, about a gruesome murder committed at a very famous hotel here and the young girl and security guard who still haunt it. Hear how Ratford Gatlin brought a slave woman to live with him and how he buried her upon her death behind their home and how she still oversees the building that is there. Listen to the tale of a young man who made a foolish mistake and continues to pay for it to this very day. Tour a cemetery that was built in 1830-a most frightful place indeed! THIS WILL BE THE HIGHLIGHT OF YOUR TRIP!
Go to light #8 in Gatlinburg and turn onto the Historic Nature Trail ( there is only one way you can turn depending on which direction you are coming from). Go 2/10ths of a mile (approx. 1100 ft.) down Historic Nature Trail and pull into the parking lot of the Holiday Inn Smoky Mountain Resort (located on the right side of the street–404 Historic Nature Trail). Park in the lot for FREE. PLEASE GO INTO LOBBY AND SEE THE GUIDE FOR A PARKING PASS–IF GUIDE IS NOT THERE YET GET A PASS FROM THE FRONT DESK AND PLACE ON YOUR DASHBOARD SO IT IS VISIBLE. VEHICLES NEED TO BE GONE FROM THE LOT BY MIDNIGHT. If the lot is full go to the back of it and there are lower levels below ground to park in). Proceed back into the lobby for the check-in. Check-in begins 30 minutes prior to tour time. Please be there no later than 15 minutes to tour time. TOUR LEAVES PROMPTLY ON TIME.
